I am a Goodson........I was just about to ask someone on this forum to help me find the death place & date for Rebecca Dellinger who married George Washington Goodson in Lincoln Co, NC 6 Feb 1833. Rebecca & George went to Carroll Co., GA in the early 1830's and then to Campbell Co., GA. Do you have any info on my Rebecca? Who is the father of your Rebecca? Perhaps I can help you.

Henry HAYNES

Robert and Winona,
I found you name as submitters for the information about Henry Haynes who married Elizabeth Goodson in the Gendex surnames files on the Internet. I am researching Edward Haynes, who was a brother of Henry, but I have found very little information about this family, except in the LDS ancestral
files. Could you direct me to some of your sources for information on the Haynes family? I would certainly appreciate any help or direction you could give me. Thank you.

Elizabeth GOODSON

Hello
I just saw your Goodson line on the forum. I am descended from Elizabeth Goodson (1818-1903) and Henry Haynes (1797-1877). Thanks for the on-line info. Noticed that you also have Womack in your research. Wondering if you have anything on a Margaret Martha Womack (b. 2/5/1835 in NC, m.10/11/1852 to Joseph LeQuire, d. 12/18/1909 in Cades Cove, TN) Other lines I am researching in the NC, TN, GA, VA areas are Whitehead, Underwood, LeQuire, Haynes, Ledbetter, Belew, Pool, Davidson, Gregory. The time frame is mostly 1800's. Glad to share.

Notes for Rebekah Goodson (Cousin)
Rebekah is a possible d/o John (5)
-s/o James (4) s/o Thomas (3) s/o William (2) s/o Edward (1)
Possible - mother - Sarah of Burke Co.???? possible sister to Larkin Goodson of Buncumbe Co., NC????
Don't know if this is true.... also a possibility that Rebekah is the daughter of Matthew, of Lincoln Co., NC, supposed brother of William.... much research to do on this yet......

In the Baptist Church of Christ of Capernaum records it states that a funeral was read by the preacher for Mrs. Goodson on the first Sunday after the 7th of December 1844.....pretty sure that this is Rebekah.

Listed as female members of same church are: Holly Goodson..dismissed by letter; ? Goodson..excluded Dec 12, 1858; Jeremiah..admitted by experience 31 Jul 1850 and died 29 Feb 1856; William, Jun. charter on 9 July 1842 & dismissed by letter 10 Jan 1852; also Martha Branton admitted 9 July 1842.
