Note: My Cousin Bob Martin located the grave sites of Niles and Lucian D. Martin in the Martin Cemetery on the old Martin farm in Iredell. It was overgrown and he and others cleared the small cemetery, they have put up a fence around it. Recently Bob put in for Civil war stones for Niles and Lucian D. Martin. Niles old stone is now broken, Bob repaired it but it has since been broken again. The Martin Cemetery is located N.W. of Iredell on the Old Martin farm now owned by Mr. Linch.

Jemima was living with her daughter and son in law when she died and is not buried with Niles.

There was a Niles that was a Methodist preacher in Hico which is suppose to be this Niles I. Martin. He also had a nephew named Niles that is buried in the cemetery in Hico, Texas.

In the 1850 Mississippi Census Niles and his brother Christopher were living in the Almon A. Lockhart and Rachel household.

Niles I. was in the civil war Co. I, 18th Texas infantry.

Niles was living in Wood Co., in 1860, Erath Co., in 1870 and Bosque Co., Texas in 1880.

In 1876, Meridian, Bosque Co., Texas Niles paid $4.55 for 1875 Taxes. In Erath Co., Texas he paid $5.64 for taxes in 1881.

Casper Kuhner was on board a ship named "Thistle" in 1738 and landed in Pennsylvania, the Palatines signed their own names at the Courthouse in Philadelphia,
September 19, 1738 and gave oath to the Honorable George Thomas, Esq., Lieutenant

, Peter, and Michael who came along with Casper from the Black Forest located
